Doing little things with great love - Dialogue between Satish Kumar & Daniel Wahl

This is a very personal conversation between Satish and me that is as much student and mentor catching up and checking in with each other, as it is a recorded conversation to be shared. I start from a rather dark (and fruitful) place of fear regarding the cascading collapse of much of what we have become accustomed to, and a paralysis regarding 'systems change work' in a state of utter 'not knowing' and uncertainty. Satish lovingly reminds me that now of us can change the world and all of us can do little things with great love, as ontributories to a larger river and that river does change our collective future and the future of live on Earth. I am so grateful and humbled by my own privilege to have had this opportunity to reconnect with a man who's life work has changed my life and who I have now known for more than 22 years, since my days on the Masters in Holistic Science at Schumacher College. We speak about 'head, hands, and heart education', how to change the world by changing our being rather than by doing', about hope and Vaclav Havel, about walking 8000 miles for peace from India to Moscow, Paris, and London, and joining MLK and Thich Nhant Han on the walk from New York to Washington DC, about Satish leaving his life as a Jain monk to join Vinoba Bhave on part of his 100k miles of walking across India to affect the largest transfer of land from the rich to the poor in a non-violent way in the history of humanity ... don't miss this deeply nourishing conversation with one of the sages of humanity. Thank you Satish!
